Delivery Policy

At Hearth and Home Furniture UK, we want to make sure your furniture arrives safely and on time.
This policy explains how we handle delivery, shipping times, and what to expect once you’ve placed your order.
1. Delivery Areas
We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom (mainland only).
If you live outside mainland UK (for example, Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, or offshore islands), please contact us before ordering to confirm whether delivery is possible and to receive a custom quote.
2. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges (if applicable) are displayed during checkout before you confirm your order.
We aim to keep delivery costs fair and transparent, and occasionally offer free delivery promotions on selected items.
3. Delivery Times
Standard items: We aim to dispatch within 5–10 working days of order confirmation.
Handmade or custom furniture: Delivery times will vary depending on the complexity of your order, typically 2–6 weeks from confirmation.
We will always provide an estimated delivery timeframe when you place your order, and we’ll keep you informed of any delays.
If you need an item urgently or by a specific date, please contact us before ordering — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
4. Delivery Method
We use trusted couriers and delivery partners for all shipments.
Larger items may be delivered by a specialist furniture courier to ensure they arrive safely.
You’ll receive an email confirmation when your order is dispatched, along with tracking information if available.
5. Receiving Your Delivery
Deliveries are made to the address provided at checkout.
Please make sure someone is available to receive and sign for the delivery.
Deliveries are likely to be Heavy and so if the courier is unable to help you carry the package into your property, ensure someone is available to help.
Once delivered, the item becomes your responsibility.
If a delivery attempt fails because no one was available, the courier may leave a card or arrange redelivery.
If a delivery fails multiple times and the goods are returned to us, additional charges may apply for redelivery.
6. Delivery Delays
We always do our best to meet estimated delivery dates, but delays can sometimes occur due to factors beyond our control (for example, courier issues, severe weather, or supply delays).
If this happens, we’ll contact you as soon as possible to update you and agree on the next steps.
7. Damaged or Missing Deliveries
Please inspect your items carefully upon delivery.
If your order arrives damaged or incomplete:
Note any visible damage on the delivery note (if possible).
Take clear photographs of the issue.
Contact us within 48 hours at hearthandhomefurnitureuk@gmail.com with your order number and photos.
We’ll work quickly to repair, replace, or refund the affected item in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
8. Ownership and Risk
Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received full payment.
Risk (responsibility for loss or damage) passes to you when the goods are delivered to the address you provided.
9. Multiple Items
If your order includes multiple pieces, we may deliver them separately depending on availability and size.
You’ll only be charged for delivery once (unless otherwise stated).
